Marvin E. Oliver, PhD Dr. Marvin E. Oliver earned his Ph.D in Reading Education from Syracuse University after 11 years of teaching in public elementary school. He began his calling with adult illiterates. After ten years experience tutoring children who were unable to read in school and 22 years of teaching teachers how to teach children to read as a university professor.
